The groundhog is a liar

Im pretty sure of it. Spring is no where around the corner. Im not even sure it plans to appear at all this year. All I know is that the weather man is a liar too. He said 1-2 inches of snow possible. I got 7-8.  Is there any accuracy to weather forecasts, or is it just a matter of standing in front of a camera and looking like you know what the heck you are talking about?

I hope their inaccuracy stands true through Wednesday and Thursday.... when they are calling for another UP TO 8 damn inches of this crap. The first few times this year were fun, not, not so much. I let my dog out to use the potty... I saw his tail, and nothing more sticking up out of a snow drift by the fence.  I dont think he thought much of the snow either.

It's official, I hate kindergarten

Hate it. Loathe it. Germs germs everywhere. For 5 years I lil dude got sick maybe twice. Seriously we never really got colds in the house, we got the swine flu thanks to Sam in 2009.  Beyond that and a sniffle here or there, this kid was never sick. No mysterious fevers, no horrible hacking in the middle of the night, no puking or diarrhea.

Then we went to kindergarten. We have had puking, we have had diarrhea, we have had a hacking cough more times than I can count. Today we have a hacking cough (that has lasted ALL weekend) we have a fever that has been hit and miss all weekend, and we have an earache. I know they want you to learn to share, but this is one thing I would rather they didn't!

Sure we were super lucky for 5 yrs, I get that. Why cant we be lucky for 5 or 10 more? Too much to ask? Probably so. So we have called into school today, unfortunately I JUST scheduled 8 jobs this morning for today, and there's no backing out of those just because my little one is ill. So Ill call the pediatrician get him seen, and I guess ask Sam to watch him, its not like the girls weren't already exposed to the hacking cough all weekend.  UGH. I hate kindergarten and the sharing of germs.

Or at least the girls both think so! Spaghetti green beans and garlic bread graced the supper table this evening for the family. I had grilled pork, with mushrooms, green peppers and onions on top.  Devil child was so hungry she ate 2 bowls of spaghetti and informed me that she hadnt eaten at Sam's house since I dropped her off on my way to school at 730 this morning. Interesting. I seem to recall a conversation not 2 hours ago with Sam about a $5 kids meal at KFC that someone didnt bother to eat. Everyone likes to see pictures of spaghetti faced kids, so here they are!

Ever sit and wonder how you get things done... or why you don't get anything done? Ive discovered that one reason nothing seems to get accomplished at my house is that there is always someone trying to help. Tonight it was ZhuZhu on one side....

 ...and Devil Child on the other! Every time I tried to do anything, someone was begging for my attention, help or a treat.

Another day of NOT being a fan of AT&T

So the track ball issues of 2 wks ago, yeah still not resolved, still no new phone sent out, and today they want me to redo all the steps that they had me do last week, and the week before. Im sorry when your item is covered by a warranty and by insurance it should not take this long to fix the problem. Sprint doesnt take this long! Can you tell I miss Sprint? Like really really really bad!

I realize I have to jump through the hoops, and try numerous things that are common knowledge to anyone who has ever had any technical issues with a cell phone. But do I really have to jump through the hoops 3 TIMES?

And here we go, transferred to Warranty. Then transferred to insurance department. Why is this so difficult? How long until my contract is up? Seriously? How long? Too damn long thats for sure! My thoughts on the situation? This is probably their call center training center.

Training Tuesday... what do you mean its Wednesday?!?

Im losing track of days... or they are all running together. Got up super early, made it to walmart for the kindergarten snack, then got lil dude dropped of at school. Headed to school myself and made it through the day, but barely. I don't know HOW Im going to make it through medical school, other than that I will NOT be working and I certainly wont be doing housework either! 

I made my way from school to the gym, and was able to get in 1 hr... 13 miles on the cycle. I almost kept going. Almost. I wasnt sore, it didnt hurt, I actually felt pretty good, until I got off the bike LOL woo whee I had some jello legs! 

I picked up a book to read while there, I read for probably the first 30 minutes. So  I picked up the latest Fern Michaels book in the Sisterhood series, Deja Vu. Fern Michaels is probably my favorite author, well that or  Janet Evanovich. Now that woman can make you LAUGH. This book though, it has started out a bit on the dry side. I guess I am used to the fast pace of the other sisterhood books and expected this to jump right in. Or maybe it does and I was too busy sweating to notice what I was reading. 


I made it to the school with about 10 minutes to spare to pick up lil dude. We ran to the house to pick up my Nikon, that I had ever so gently packaged up to send to the magic camera fixit people through the warranty department at NEW, the camera that I left sitting on the table in my haste to make it out the door on time this morning.  We took it and dropped it off at the UPS store. 

I just have to say WTF? The UPS store, where you take things that need to be shipped via UPS, with the prepaid label that the fixit people sent me. That would mean no cost to most people right? Well evidently not the UPS store. There is a $2 DROP OFF FEE. Do what? So what does UPS tell me about this? The stores are .... yep franchises, and while they use the UPS name, they are independent of the actual corporation. The fees are decided by each location. Well aint that dandy. 


So then I head home. Apparently Monday night someone ate all of "my" cheese. That would be the cheese I am allowed to consume on my low carb high protein diet. Hard cheese, like colby, jack, cheddar etc. So when I was fixin' to make cheesy scrambled eggs last night for dinner, I discovered my eggs would not be cheesy. Needless to say, I wasn't too thrilled with someone. I even let them know they were on my crappy list.


So I got home this evening and on the kitchen counter was a bag with pork rinds, peanuts, peanut butter, muscle milk... and CHEESE. All foods Im allowed on my diet. What a gem *giggle* I have trained him well in some areas. Not so well in others.


Then Sam tells me a story about lil devil child. Apparently she wanted scrambled eggs this morning. She asked Sam, can you make me eggs. To which Sam said she was busy doing something... and maybe daddy could make her eggs.


Well lil devil child obviously pays close attention to the going ons in her home. She replied, completely deadpan.... He cant make eggs, he cant even get a damn job. Ohh! ZING! But its true, can't punish the child for telling the truth. 

How did I miss Monday?

Probably because it was one of "those" kind of days. The days when you don't even want to crawl out of bed, much less do anything else remotely close to being called work. So yesterday I did a lot of nothing, and not much else. I was tired. Oh so tired. Like the first 8 weeks of pregnancy tired. But rest assured, that is NOT happening in this body, not this month anyhow!

So Tomorrow the plan is, walmart at 7am *yeah you read that right* Tomorrow is snack day for lil dude, which means we send snacks for 18 hungry kindergarteners. I was considering making cinnamon rolls, however its 1030 pm and I don't have it in me. Maybe in March LOL. So its Walmart, drop lil dude and snacks off at the school, head to my school, cram a workout in there somewhere and possibly a trip to the post office as well.

I also need to find a library that has a specific book... what book? The one the book club on SOTH  is planning on reading. Im thinking I can cram an hour of reading a day in, while sitting on the exercise bike at the gym!
